EWS Exhibition Center, Schönau, Germany

Structural Design of a highly irregular composite steel-concrete structure in Schönau, Germany. The challenges of this project arise from its irregularity both in plan and in elevation, requiring modal analysis to identify its response to dynamic excitations. A creative architectural approach lead to a suspended floor, thus increasing the irregularity of the building while special attention had to payed to the dynamic interaction between the big water tank and the rest of the concrete building.
